Letter from the Secretariat

Dear Esteemed Delegates, Club Sponsors, and Volunteers,

It is our honor to welcome you all to Rocky Run Middle School's sixth annual conference, RAMSMUN VI! Over the past year, Model UN has faced innumerable challenges as we have all adjusted back to debating policies and drafting resolutions in person through handshakes and placards. Leadership, the organizers of this conference, started from rock bottom, but after several meetings with each other and our club sponsors, we are proud to present to you an opportunity for a great experience leaving you with skills and memories that will last a lifetime. We are excited to be offering 5 committees this year; two general assemblies, one specialized committee, and two crisis committees.

This year's conference will be hosted in-person at Rocky Run Middle School, and the schedule can be found on this website. The committees will be chaired and directed by members of the Rocky Run Middle School Leadership Team, and the crisis staff will be made up of Rocky Run Model UN alumni as well as Leadership Team members. If you need any help at all, please feel free to email your respective chairs or crisis directors, whose emails can be found in their respective background guides. Additionally, if there are any logistical questions, the contact page will allow you to receive correspondence within a few days.

As the world grows more and more complicated, the same skills that are used in Model UN become vital to the functioning of society. Our Model UN conference will allow delegates to further build these skills, and prepare to become the leaders of tomorrow. We hope you enjoy this conference, and we wish all delegates the best of luck.
