Position Papers are required for all GA and Specialized committees at RAMSMUN, and may be required for crisis based on the chair's discretion. If required, position papers must be sent to your committee's head chair by May 20th. A google form will also be posted by the 14th, requiring delegates to submit their position papers. Delegates who fail to write Position Papers and submit them online via a google form that will be sent on the 20th will be considered ineligible for awards. Additionally, RAMSMUN has an extremely low tolerance for plagiarism, therefore upon its occurrence, delegates will be disqualified. It is recommended that delegates bring two copies of their position paper to their respective committee, one for themselves and one for the chair.
As per position papers, we would appreciate the following format:
The cover page must include:
Delegation name
Committee name
Delegate's name
School name
At least one page per topic with no penalties for going above :)
Formatting must be done as follows:
Times New Roman
12 pt. font size
Double Spaced
A properly formatted MLA works cited page in alphabetical order
